This marks the third consecutive year Corcoran has earned the distinction, which highlights women in business that are driving positive change for gender diversity

On September 9th, INvolve announced that Mariquit Corcoran, Group Chief Innovation Officer at Barclays, has been named to its 2021 HERoes 100 Women Executives List. This is the third consecutive year in which Corcoran has been honored with the distinction.

Created by INvolve with support from Yahoo! Finance, the list showcases leaders who champion women in business and drive change for gender diversity in the workplace. Corcoran earned her place among the top 100 honorees for her role in supporting DE&I initiatives at Barclays and leading Rise, created by Barclays, a global FinTech platform that helps create conditions for innovation and growth for entrepreneurs in the financial services sector.

I’m honored and humbled to be in the company of my fellow honorees who inspire me through their dedication to creating a more inclusive future for women across the business landscape,” said Corcoran. “It has been a privilege to provide a place where female entrepreneurs can succeed and see their dreams come to fruition.

Corcoran serves as one of the leading voices in the world of FinTech for inclusion and diversity, especially for underrepresented women. She has been instrumental in driving several Barclays’ activations to bring female founders to the forefront including its Female Executives in Fintech network, a program aimed at established and growth-stage companies led by women.

Under Corcoran’s leadership, Rise has also developed a variety of initiatives and programs committed to promoting diversity. Among these is its support of female FinTech founders through both the Female Innovators Lab by Barclays and Anthemis and the Female Founders First program by Barclays and Techstars, both of which provide female entrepreneurs access to experts, capital and a connected network to grow their business.

Founder & CEO of INvolve, Suki Sandhu OBE, said, “I’m thrilled to be celebrating this incredible group of Women and Advocate Role Models who are championing inclusion and inspiring the next generation of talent. It’s vital that women across the globe can succeed and these Role Models are essential in dismantling barriers to progression and creating opportunities for women to be successful while also being able to be their authentic selves in the workplace.”
